School profile

Rise Academy is the East End’s own fully-accredited, independent, Christian high school. Our top priority is responding to the academic needs of our students, and we seek to equip them to become leaders and culture-makers in their school, home, and community.

Over a four year period, we offer all courses necessary for students to complete a Standard or Advanced Studies high school diploma in the Commonwealth of Virginia. Our student to teacher ratio this year is 10:1. We provide an individualized and holistic education, creating a safe and engaging learning environment for our students. Rise Academy has been fully accredited through the Virginia Association of Independent Schools since 2020.

Currently, we have graduated 106 students, many of whom have continued on to postsecondary education. Rise graduates have been accepted to and attended Norfolk State University, Virginia Commonwealth University, Mary Baldwin College, J. Sargeant Reynolds Community College, Fortis College, Butler University, Richard Bland College, John Tyler Community College, Longwood University, Chowan University, Old Dominion University, University of Mary Washington, Radford University, and James Madison University, Christopher Newport University, Hollins University, and Virginia Union University. Additionally, some students have been accepted into the VA Job Corps to begin job training in many technical career fields.

Rise Academy is a part of Rise Richmond, a registered 501(c)3 nonprofit.
